While the world of cinema, which we missed due to the coronavirus, has been slowly recovering in recent months, Dune: Desert Planet, which was released on October 22, seemed like a medicine to many of us. Adapted from the Dune book series written by Frank Herbert, the film was especially appreciated for its visuality and atmosphere.

At The Game Awards 2021, held last night, a new announcement was made that made Dune fans happy. Publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games introduced Dune: Spice Wars, real-time strategy games set in the Dune universe. The first details and images about the game were also shared.

We will rule one of the 4 clans, try to dominate the planet:

Dune: Spice Wars, made by the developer of Northgard, which has achieved an important place in the game world, will be a strategy game where you lead your clan in the Dune universe and fight for control on the planet Arrakis. Spices will be the most valuable resource in the universe. In the game, we will be able to choose and manage one of 4 clans, including House Atreides and House Harkonnen.

As in similar strategy games, we will explore the world in the game, and we will be able to use any method we want, such as cheating, political influence, economic dominance or open war to dominate the planet. The system requirements of the game have not been shared yet.

Dune: Spice Wars will be released as an early access game in 2022. The game will only be playable on the PC platform.
