Reactions to Andor from social media:

“Andor is an absolutely brilliant take on Star Wars. Lots of world creation and a whole new artistic element, I can’t wait to see what else this series has to offer. 1-3. Episodes were very successful. Also, Diego as Cassian is just as smart as he was in Rogue One.”

“Rogue One will feel different after this series is over.”

“Only 4 episodes and Andor is already the best of Disney+. The difference in quality is very felt. What interests you is the character’s journey and its risks. No relying on cameos, fan service, or action. It just offers more excitement and risk with the perfect scenario.”

“I absolutely adored Andor. Streaming the first three episodes together was a great idea because it plays like a movie and turns out to be the perfect setup for the rest of the season.”

“The first 3 divisions of Andor are an absolute victory. Bold and new to Star Wars – a more sincere, mature and patient form of storytelling that is neither better nor worse than anything we’ve seen before – should be welcomed for the diversity it brings. I cannot expect more.”

Reactions from viewers outside of social media are somewhat mixed:

When we look at Andor’s RottenTomatoes page, the positive picture on social media did not appear that much. The show’s RottenTomatoes viewership rating was 69 out of 100.

So what do the critics say?

Andor has been reviewed by 26 critics so far. The average score given to the series was ’74’ out of 100. While Collider gave the series a full score, critics from popular platforms such as Vulture, Decider, CNET and Variety gave the series an 80 or higher rating. On the other hand, Rolling Stone 40, CNN 45, The New York Times 50 and The Telegraph only gave 60 points.

When we look at the criticisms of the series, we see that the critics are divided into two, especially in the treatment of the series. The scenario that brought a new breath to the universe and the way it was handled were welcomed in the highly rated reviews. However, critics who gave low scores complain about this situation and argue that the process is not very successful.
