Reddick, whose performance in the production was the most admired, said in his statement, “I wanted to make this video as a thank you. As you are all aware, our Resident Evil series on Netflix has been cancelled. Despite the trolls and haters, I want to thank you.” used his statements. The low-rated production received negative comments from the fans of the game for many reasons, such as its different approach to the series. Even people who stated that they were celebrating the cancellation of the series were seen on social media. Reddick also did not mention these people in his statements.
