Global smart device manufacturer HONOR delivered the story of the emergence of HONOR Magic3 model, which was developed in just eight months and made a solid entry into the high-end smartphone market in China. The R&D team and design studies, which made it possible to manufacture a high-end smartphone in such a short time, show HONOR’s vision for the future.
How to make the best better?
Prior to the production of Magic3, which broke sales records in the first week of its launch in China and increased its market share to 16.2%, which is almost the highest level in the company’s history, HONOR set itself the goal of creating a product that exceeds user expectations and offers customers an excellent experience. In line with this goal, the company established a team of the world’s best designers and engineers, who completed a product whose development process normally takes 12 to 18 months, in a record 8 months. This team presented a high-end camera that stands out by revealing a stylish future-inspired design while improving the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus 5G chip.
HONOR, which has the capacity to offer a different performance experience with a single chip, once again proved its experience in gaming, network features and security with Magic 3. During the development process, it brought the game graphics to a clearer level than ever before with mobile phones, and also ensured the balance of power and temperature during the load on the phone.
Sophisticated design inspired by the future

Speaking about the HONOR Magic 3 camera, HONOR Device Co. Chief Technical Specialist Wang Jun said, “We did a systematic review and optimization of this platform to customize everything from the ground up. Such as periscope telephoto lens, ultra-wide-angle camera, 8×8 dTOF laser sensor, wide-angle camera, monochrome camera, color multispectral thermal sensor and flash. “With elements, users can capture frames beyond imagination without having to wait when the shutter is pressed.”
During this process, HONOR contacted filmmakers and investigated in detail how the entire process of making a professional film works. To this end, the HONOR technical team has designed a smartphone that can fulfill the dreams of users of shooting their own movies.
