Half-Life, one of the most legendary productions of the game world, has gained a mode that carries 25 years of history to the present. The highly anticipated ray tracing mode, introduced last year, has been released.

Developed by Sultim Tsyrendashiev (sultim_t), the mod is available for download on GitHub. Although the mod, which can be easily installed on the original Half-Life, does not change the texture of the game, it has managed to add a new breath to the game with its lighting and effect improvements.

You need a good computer to try the mod

Unfortunately, Sultim’s new mod has a major flaw, just like third-party ray tracing mods developed for other games. Those who want to use this mod have to make sure they have a powerful computer.

The most basic system requirement is to have one of NVIDIA’s RTX series graphics cards to benefit from ray tracing technology. If you want to play the game in 4K resolution, you may even need an RTX 4090, according to some players who tried the mod.
