Continuing its preparations for CES 2022, AMD will finally announce Threadripper processors with Zen 3 architecture. Some features of the AMD Ryzen Treadripper 5000 Pro model have been leaked.
Having achieved significant success in the processor market in recent years, AMD won the appreciation of users with its Threadripper series. The highly anticipated Zen 3 Threadripper processors will be available in March.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro systems will have a total of 128 cores
One of the biggest features of the processors to be introduced is dual socket support. According to leaked Ryzen Threadripper 5000 Pro information, the new processor will be introduced with 64 cores and 256 MB cache.
Ryzen Treadripper 5000 Pro, which has a TDP of 280W, will be equipped with the Zen 3 core architecture developed by AMD. Although the new AMD Ryzen processors with Zen 3 architecture come with 7nm Plus lithography, they include performance improvements to a large extent.
AMD, which is stated to come up with a 2P socket configuration similar to Intel’s 2S socket, will offer users the opportunity to use two Threadrippers. Some analysts state that this move will deeply affect Intel’s dominance in the workstation market.
Comparing the dual-processor system with the Threadripper Pro 3995WX (64 cores) system, the TomsHardware team announced a 44 percent performance increase. It is stated that the rate of performance increase is low due to synthetic test software.
Drawing attention with its 128-core processor and 4TB RAM support, AMD will launch its new processor in March 2022. It is estimated that companies such as Gigabyte, Supermicro and ASRock Rack will soon offer the first motherboards for new processors to users.
