READING NOW Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT gaming performance revealed: Here are the results
At the introduction of the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards, AMD shared comparative gaming tests with competing cards. The fact that these tests were not comprehensive made it difficult for users to get a clear idea. Now, AMD’s more comprehensive benchmark list and synthetic benchmarks have emerged.

The shared benchmarks are included in the Review Guide provided by AMD as a reference to the press. Therefore, various games and comparisons are available. However, AMD measures the performance of the cards in three different scenarios: first standard game rasterization, then ray tracing, and finally synthetic benchmarks.

However, AMD is comparing the Radeon RX 7800 XT to the $100 more expensive RTX 4070 and the 7700 XT to the RTX 4060 Ti, which is about the same price with recent price cuts. Starting with the standard rasterization performance, we see that the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT is on average 6.88 percent faster than the RTX 4070 Ti in the 17 games tested, while the RX 7700 XT is on average 15.9 percent faster than the RTX 4060 Ti. .
On the ray tracing wing of the tests, all done at 1440p, the RX 7800 XT is 11.55% slower than the RTX 4070. The RX 7700 XT, on the other hand, was 5.4 percent slower than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. However, it is necessary to look at the games tested here. Most of the preferred games are games compatible with AMD systems. In scenarios where the pointer shifts on the Nvidia side, the difference can become even wider.

Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB vs RTX 4070 12GB

  • Rasterization: +6.9%
  • RT: -11.6%
  • Average: +0.5%

Radeon RX 7700 XT 12G vs RTX 4060 Ti 16GB

  • Rasterization: +15.9%
  • RT: -5.4%
  • Average: 8.5%
Finally, we see that AMD once again stands out in rasterized benchmarks like 3DMark Fire Strike, 3DMark 11, and Time Spy, but things change as soon as the Port Royal benchmark is made. So ray tracing is the weaker side of these cards, as with the rest of the series. In addition, the RX 7700 XT is not that big, but in terms of price, the RX 7800 XT is in a pretty strong place. With FSR 3 support, it could be even more attractive.
