The excited wait continues for AMD’s mid-high-end graphics cards with RDNA 3 architecture. In this context, we continue to hear leaks about the Radeon RX 7700 and 7800 XT. Finally, in a recent Forbes interview, AMD CEO and President Lisa Su clarified the Navi 32 chip, which is expected to power both cards. So what do we expect from the Radeon RX 7700 and 7800 XT? Here’s what we know.

Radeon RX 7700 and 7800 XT specs are starting to get clear

According to the shared video, Navi 32 will retain the multi-chip design of the Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX models. However, a single GCD (Graphics Computing Pattern) and four MCDs (Multiple Cache Patterns) are positioned in the center, measuring approximately 200 mm². Each of these measures approximately 37.5 mm².

At this point, we can say that Navi 32, which will have a total dimensions of 350mm², is approximately 30% smaller than its older brother Navi 31. It also houses four MCDs compared to Navi 31’s six MCDs (Multiple Cache Patterns). According to recent rumors, the Navi 32, which is expected to power the RX 7700 and 7800 XT, will feature 3840 Stream Processors, up to 60 Compute Units, Infinity Cache of 50MB and above, and a 256-bit memory bus.

On paper, we can say that these features will directly rival the GeForce RTX 4070 and 4070 Ti models. However, we have to wait a little longer for all this.
