Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and 7 Gen 1 may be introduced
Two big announcements are expected at the event, which will be held on May 20 at 20:00 local time in China. For many years, Qualcomm has been updating its chips with the + model in the middle of the year, providing a performance increase to future flagships in the second half of the year. It is known that Qualcomm is planning something similar this year. At the event, the long-named Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 are expected to be introduced.

8 Gen 1+ will offer increased graphics performance compared to the standard version. The processor will have 1 Cortex X2 core, 3 Cortex A710 cores and 4 Cortex A510 efficiency cores. The chip, which will be produced in TSCM’s 4nm fabrication process, is expected to be used for the first time in Motorola Edge X30. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, on the other hand, seems to be the new champion of the mid-high level. The chip, which is expected to contain 4 Cortex A710, 4 Cortex A510 cores, comes with Adreno 662 graphics unit. 7 Gen 1 is expected to be used for the first time in Oppo Reno8.
