American chip maker Qualcomm is preparing to introduce its new chipset for mobile devices. The company announced that it will hold an event in China on March 17. On that date, a processor for mid-range smartphones is expected to be announced.

There are not many details about the event, but we can meet the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 platform, which is known by the model number SM7475. Famous Chinese brands such as Redmi, Realme, Honor, Oppo and Vivo are reportedly starting to develop their smartphones based on this processor.

What is known about the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1

Judging by the information transferred, the first models to use the new Snapdragon 7 series chipset will be Redmi Note 12T Turbo and Realme GT Neo 5 SE. There is even information that the Redmi Note 12T Turbo will be sold in the global market under the name POCO F5.

According to sources, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 will be produced in TSMC’s 4 nm fabrication process. The chipset will include a Cortex-X2 core with a maximum clock speed of 2.95 GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A710 cores with a clock speed of 1.8G Hz. On the graphics side, the Adreno 725 GPU will be responsible.
