Qualcomm, one of the important stakeholders of the smartphone ecosystem, introduced its new mobile processor called “Snapdragon 4 Gen 2” at an event it organized. This new processor, which focuses on mid-segment devices, seems to be able to attract the attention of consumers. Because with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, consumers will experience a high-end experience. So what features does this processor have?
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which goes through Qualcomm’s 4 nm production process, has an 8-core structure. The cores with an operating frequency of 2.0 GHz will provide a sufficient performance for daily use. Not only that. The new generation LPDDR5x RAM can be used on phones using these processors. Thus, the main performance will be supported by RAMs. In terms of storage, we see UFS 3.1 support.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 will support displays that offer FHD + resolution at 120 Hz. This will provide a smooth experience for users. On the camera setup front, we see support for up to 108 MP. Companies will be able to customize this support with 32 MP + 32 MP or sensors with zero shutter lag. The processor, which allows to shoot 1080p at 60 fps or 720p slow-motion videos at 120 fps, will also offer support such as noise cancellation in video shooting with EIS.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, which will support fast charging thanks to Quick Charge 4+, will work integrated with Snapdragon X61 5G modem. In addition, this mobile processor will have Bluetooth 5.1 technology. In this way, very reasonable features will be provided for consumers. According to Qualcomm, we will see processors powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 in the second half of the year. When the phones are released, it will be better understood what the processor has to offer.
