Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 may have a different cluster lineup

According to information from Roland Quandt, Qualcomm is testing a chipset codenamed SM7475. The chip codenamed SM8475 is Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, and the chipset in question is estimated to be Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1. According to Roland, this chipset will have a triple cluster array just like the standard 7 Gen 1, but Qualcomm is expected to change the cores it uses in clusters.

It is stated that the primary 2.4Ghz Cortex-A710 core used in 7 Gen 1 and the three 2.36Ghz Cortex-A710 performance cores can be replaced with Cortex-X3 and/or Cortex-A715 cores around 2.4Ghz in the new version. It will likely continue as the Cortex-A510 with efficiency cores. The Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1, which is expected to be produced in TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process, is expected to be introduced together with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in November. Allegedly, Qualcomm’s new mid-range chip will be even more powerful than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
