Qnodeos: The world’s first operating system was introduced for quantum networks
Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) researchers introduced Qnodeos, the world’s first quantum network operating system. Qnodeos is specially designed for quantum networks and is considered an important step for future quantum applications. Similar to the functioning of traditional operating systems such as Qnodeos, Windows or Android, it serves as a bridge between network equipment and software.

Qnodeos is an independent platform of hardware and aims to facilitate developers in quantum networks application development and distribution process. One of the biggest advantages of the system is that it is abstracted by low -level hardware details, allowing software developers to develop application only using high -level programming languages. In this way, the platform makes it possible to operate applications in quantum networks as an independent framework.

A new era for quantum network applications

The main objective behind the development of Qnodeos is not quantum computers, but to provide an operating system for quantum networks. While quantum computers make calculations using the laws of quantum physics, quantum networks provide coordination by connecting these devices and create an important building block for distributed quantum calculations.

In order to manage the flow of information in quantum networks, to ensure enthusiasm and to synchronize all devices, an operating system is needed. Previously designed for quantum networks, the software often had equipped and limited functions.

Qnodeos is designed to be compatible with different quantum chip designs. This allows the platform to be used effectively in a wide range of hardware. In addition, the platform aims to use hardware resources in the most efficient way by providing multiple tasks support. It is understood that this is made by converting the high -level code to a low -level Netqasm, and then this code is converted to hard -specific instructions using a method defined as QDRIVER.

With Qnodeos, a much wider audience will be able to experiment for quantum networks, innovate and create software, and the developments in this field will be accelerated. In the study, Qutech will be deployed Qnodeos on Quantum Network Explorer. Therefore, for the future of quantum internet, private operating systems for quantum network are important. Scientists around the world continue to work to make quantum internet possible. Recently, a research team in the United States made an important breakthrough by realizing “quantum irradiation üzerinden through the traditional internet cable.
