According to the list shared by Sensor Tower, January’s champion is Garena Free Fire. The mobile game, which experienced a 51.6% increase compared to January 2021, reached a total of 24 million downloads. The countries that downloaded the game the most were India with 25.5 percent and Brazil with 11.7 percent.

After Garena Free Fire, Subway Surfers, one of the legends of the mobile game industry, took the second place with 23.7 million downloads. The country that showed the most interest in mobile gaming was India with 20.7 percent, while the USA took the second place with a percentage.

The global mobile game industry reached 5.2 billion downloads in the App Store and Google Play Store in January 2022. Compared to the same period of the previous year, it increased by 2.8 percent. The country that showed the most interest in mobile games in January was India with 761.8 million downloads, accounting for 14.6 percent of total downloads. The USA took the second place with 8.7 percent and Brazil found its place in the third place with 8.2 percent.
