Dominated by almost everyone, especially with the 911 family, Porsche was founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche. In 1972, the grandson of the founder Ferdinand, Prof. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche created Studio FA Porsche and began offering products and services outside the automobile world that sounded quite irrelevant.

In fact, these products and services are so unrelated and impressive that when you come to the end of the content, after what you will see, Porsche will turn into a Swiss army knife in your eyes.

Let’s start with their products in the field of lighting.

Items from the INLAY and BLADE collection

Denmark-based company LIGHT-POINT collaborated with Studio FA Porsche in 2021, resulting in two collections called INLAY and BLADE. These collections contain lighting products created with different design languages based on their names.

We continue with the PDT40 wireless headphones sold by Porsche Design.

Porsche Design

The headphones, which have a very stylish box and design, do not seem to be made for the sake of talking. It is stated that the earphones, which offer different current features such as touch control, water and dust resistance, type-c connection type and these, offer 6 hours of use. When you charge it with the box, this time can go up to 21 hours.

The luxury yacht designed for the Dynamiq was also handcrafted by Porsche’s studio.

In the external structure of this model, named GTT115, Porsche has progressed from the design language of its own vehicles. The yacht, which has 3 decks, has a jacuzzi, a bar, luxurious rooms that will not look like hotels, separate rooms for guests and much more. It should also be noted that only 7 of these were produced.

It is possible that you have seen Porsche’s electric bike in different places before.

These vehicles, presented under the name Porsche eBike, are separated among themselves as models such as cross and sports, just like in cars. The bikes produced together with Rotwild can reach speeds of 25 km/h in the sports model. The design of the bikes was inspired by the Taycan model.

“We have a Porsche too… the breakfast set, but here’s the Porsche”

This set, created in collaboration with Porsche Design and Siemens, includes a kettle and a toaster. The company itself is aware that instead of buying a regular kettle, it does not make much sense to pay 4 times and buy them. But they attribute this to the quality of the pure aluminum material. Considering that more than 1 million sales were made, it would not be wrong to say that the product was quite successful.

Our next product, released in partnership with Porsche Design… the door handle. Yes…

212 and 311

The company, which developed the 311 and 212 models in partnership with HAFI, which we are talking about door handles, focused on their longevity and comfortable use in both models. You can see that there are certain geometrical differences between the models.

On the one hand, the 911 GT3 resounding in our ears, on the other, the Porsche faucet:

Porsche Design has unveiled the Icon-X collection for THG, known for its high-end faucets and bathroom accessories. As you can see above, the collection stands out with its sharp lines and does not look foreign to THG’s products.

Another watercraft that can still enter the luxury class, although not as much as the previous one:

The sailboat GT6, produced for the company Elan, was inspired by a sports car. We can see this especially when we look at the rudder made of carbon material. Apart from this, attention was paid not only to the yacht’s own design, but also to the design of the living space inside.

It shouldn’t surprise you to see a hair dryer after all this.

Soocas AirFly

The AirFly blow dryer designed for Soocas, like the others, is a combination of high quality materials and advanced engineering. As we are used to with blow dryers, there are magnetically attached and removable covers.

The ingredients on these containers, on the other hand, allow you to dry your hair quickly but without wearing it, according to the company.

Our current product is a sunglasses made by Porsche Design.

This polarized model, named P’8931, has an all-titanium alloy body. In this way, while being both light and durable, it does not compromise on its appearance. According to the company, the final product that came out with these features reflects the Porsche design language quite well.

Now we move on to the washing machine designed by Porsche for Japan-based Panasonic:

Studio FA Porsche

You wouldn’t expect to see the Porsche signature on a washing machine. But we left the things that will surprise you for last. Now let’s get back to this machine.

The machine in question, which has a TFT screen on it, leaves the door open for about two centimeters when the washing or drying is finished so that the ventilation can continue continuously. Apart from this, it has many features that are handled especially considering the needs of the Asian market.

We can say that the shape in the middle resembles a rim.

The gaming monitor created by Porsche Design and AOC together:

This monitor, which came out with the name AOC AGON, has a 27-inch curved screen. The monitor, which has a refresh rate of 240 Hz, also has two 5 W speakers. The resolution of the monitor is 2560×1440.

Its design was inspired by the Porsche 911 RSR.

Player products do not end there. This time we see Porsche Design with Thermaltake.

The two companies, which came together for The Argent series, added a new look to different player accessories. Among these accessories are products such as mouse, mouse pad, headset and gaming chair. The company designed these products in darker tones and geometrically simpler in order to distinguish them from other player products.

Porsche has also signed a tram design.

Located in Vienna and introduced under the name of ‘ultra-low floor’, this tram was designed by Porsche Design for Siemens. The tram, which is only 11 centimeters above the ground, keeps its passengers and drivers at the same level. This makes it easier for people with disabilities to get into the vehicle.

Let’s come to the most surprising for many of us. Qent İstinye, designed by Porsche Design and located in Istanbul:

The interior of this 3070 square meter high-class building, which contains 21 apartments in 3 buildings in total, was designed by Porsche Design. While designing this project, the company did not consider the German culture to which it is accustomed, but the location of the building, namely Istanbul.

So which one surprised you the most?
