Electric car giant Tesla, founded by Elon Musk, plays a role as one of the leading companies in electric transformation today. The company, which now sells hundreds of thousands of electric vehicles every year, has already introduced different vehicles in the past years, although it currently sells only 4 models. While the last of these was Cybertruck, there was also Tesla’s electric truck somewhere…
Tesla introduced its all-electric truck, called ‘Semi’, in November 2017. The performance of the truck at that time impressed everyone, in fact, we saw the truck from time to time carrying loads on the US roads as part of the test. However, although the delivery and production of the Tesla Semi was planned for December 2019, it still had not started. Today, a new statement has finally come from Musk.
Tesla begins deliveries of the Semi after 5 years:
Elon Musk announced on his Twitter account that they have started the production of Tesla Semi, and the first delivery will be made to Pepsi on December 1. Making another post under his tweet, Musk included the phrases “800 kilometers of range and wonderfully enjoyable driving”. Pepsi, one of the first customers of Tesla Semi, ordered 100 Semis in December 2017.

While the roads for Tesla Semi and Cybertruck continue to be observed, let’s not forget the most anticipated vehicle in Tesla’s portfolio. Tesla also showed the second generation Roadster sports car at the event where the Semi was introduced in November 2017. This vehicle was even sent into space with SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket and still continues its journey in space. While there is no official statement about the Roadster, production is expected to start in 2023.
