READING NOW Problems solved: Samsung continues to distribute One UI 4!

Samsung’s Android 12-based One UI 4 stable updates for the Galaxy S21 family and Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 were halted last week due to an issue with Google Play compatibility. Now, about five days later, the deployments have finally started again. The issues are thought to have been resolved thanks to some collaborations with Google over the holidays.

We see there is a new build number making the sequel rounds. We also see that this update for S21 models is labeled as G99xBXXS3BULC. We see that the Korean variants have the build number G99xNKSS3BULC. On the other hand, the new build for Flip3 is F711xxxS2BUL6, while Fold3 comes as F926xxxS1BUL6.

What innovations does One UI 4.0 bring?

The One UI 4.0 update brings with it many innovations and changes such as the Material Color Palette feature, advanced privacy controls and the Privacy Control Panel, liked by the users. In other words, the new version does not provide a radical change as Android 12 does in Pixel models.

Unlike the Galaxy S series, devices such as the Fold, Flip, FE and some M series models directly use Qualcomm chips. For this reason, it is said that the speed of spreading the update in the world will progress much faster on Snapdragon models than on Exynos powered devices.

What’s new in Kids Mode with One UI 4.0

  • With the new version, parents will be able to choose the background color and the applications to be placed on the home screen. However, the default and the applications that parents do not want to be seen can be removed from the home screen.
  • Parental Controls have been significantly improved. Now parents can now apply different time restrictions for different days of the week. Thus, the use of children on holidays can be increased.
  • Samsung aims to make Kids Mode more fun for younger kids. With two new applications called Augmented Reality Theater and Art Studio, fun tools are also offered with augmented reality.
  • Finally, children will be able to improve their screens by looking at different cards. Permissive parents can also have children create their own usage plans.

How to start child mode?

  • Pull down the notification panel and swipe left.
  • Tap the Kids Mode icon to start the installation and then tap the “Start” button to download.
  • Click the Next button to set a Pin code. You should not forget this Pin code, as Child Mode cannot be turned off otherwise.
  • After this step, the Kids Mode screen will appear on the main page.
