In Argentina’s presidential primaries, pro-Bitcoin (BTC) Javier Milei won the majority of the votes.
As the adoption of cryptocurrencies increases, mobility in countries is also a matter of curiosity. In particular, the trend of crypto ahead of the 2024 presidential election in the USA is on the agenda.
Presidential elections in Argentina are also hot. One of the presidential candidates in Argentina is known for his closeness to Bitcoin.
The environment is positive for Bitcoin in Argentina
Bitcoin (BTC) supporter Javier Milei won the majority of votes in the presidential primary elections in Argentina.
Looking at the Bloomberg data, according to the result of 90 percent of the votes being counted, Milei leads with 32 percent. Milei is followed by the conservative party Together for Change with 30 percent.
Milei strives for the dissolution of Argentina’s central bank and describes himself as anarcho-capitalist. With a slightly more specific character, Milei denies the existence of global warming.
The general presidential election in Argentina will be held on October 22, in which any candidate must receive 45 percent of the general vote. If the elections go to the second round, the final stage will be held in November.
Milei’s stance towards the traditional money system and approach to Bitcoin makes him stand out as one of the pro-crypto leaders. Although he received the majority of the votes in the primary elections, the tunnel is not yet over for Milei.
