Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo launched its web browser last October. But it was only available for Mac computers. The DuckDuckGo web browser has finally made its way to the Windows platform as well. The company has released a public beta for Windows PCs.
It should be noted that the Windows version of the browser also focuses on protecting user privacy. DuckDuckGo blocks geolocation tracking when you enter any website, as well as encrypts most of the traffic and disables all trackers.

Offers lots of features
Although the browser does not yet support extensions, it has built-in features such as ad blocker and password manager. There’s also the Duck Player feature that lets you watch YouTube videos without ads. This also prevents YouTube from offering suggestions for user tracking.
Extension support will also be added to DuckDuckGo in the future. The developer also claims that the browser uses around 60% less traffic than Google Chrome. Offering the ability to instantly close all tabs and delete browsing data with one touch, the browser also allows you to hide your real e-mail address using the @duck.com domain name.
