Search engine DuckDuckGo has released a public beta version of its desktop browser of the same name. The browser, which was previously tested in closed mode, is currently only available for Mac.The browser protects against pop-ups, saves search history only locally, and does not track user behavior for ads. Windows version is on the way
However, DuckDuckGo is not an anonymous browser and does not use a method of hiding the user’s location like Tor. Technically, the browser is based on the WebKit engine used by Safari.
