E-commerce, which has become a reality of our lives with the widespread use of the internet, can host various fraud events from time to time. While some citizens do not seek their rights, others take the opposite steps and seek their rights, which ensures that the so-called sellers who try to commit fraud over the internet are punished. Now such an event took place in Bolu Gerede.

A citizen named Bayram Yılmaz wanted to buy four wheels for his vehicle. For this, the citizen agreed with a seller named Taner Kırıcıoğlu, and agreed for 1.500 TL for a wheel set of 1.800 TL. The man who went to buy the product from the cargo branch experienced the shock of his life. Because Kırıcıoğlu had only sent a tap instead of the wheel set he sold. Thereupon, Bayram Yılmaz, who tried to reach the seller but could not get a return, took his breath away in the court.

The seller was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison and a fine of 2,500 TL.

“We made an agreement with someone on social media about rims for my car. He said 1,800 liras, we agreed to 1,500 liras. He said, ‘I will send you 200 liras at a discounted price from cargo,’ He said. A bathroom faucet came from the cargo. I went to the courier, there was a small box, I opened it, I was shocked. He sent a bathroom faucet as if mocking me. The courier said, “I don’t know,” and I sent the cargo back. He also showed the cargo to be counter-paid. He did not answer my calls, he blocked me. “The news that pleased Yılmaz came from the court. Taner Kırıcıoğlu, who did not attend the hearing of the lawsuit brought against him, was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison and an administrative fine of 2,500 TL. Bolu 1st High Criminal Court convicted the seller of “qualified fraud”.

Addressing citizens who shop online, complainant Bayram Yılmaz said, “Do not believe such people, do not be fooled. I am a victim, no one should be. I am not worth 1,500 liras, but people should not be victims. I am a working man, I believed him. That’s what they do. It’s been passed, I can’t digest this situation. Should I be for my money, or should I be for the wheels that I wanted so much and weren’t sent?” said.
