The number of AMD’s new generation Ryzen 7000 processors with Zen 4 architecture will increase in the future. Until now, the company had only introduced and launched the high-end “X” series processor models. Now, the price information of the models of these processors without X has emerged.
The leaked information shares the price information of Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 5 7600. The differences between these processors and other X chips are that they all have a TDP of 65W and will come with slightly slower clock speeds.
Ryzen 9 7900 specs and price
AMD Ryzen 9 7900 will have 12 cores, 24 threads and 76MB cache (64MB L3 + 12MB L3) and will run at a maximum clock speed of up to 5.4GHz. It’s said to sell for $120 less than the Ryzen 9 7900X: $429.
There is a 200 MHz decrease in the boost frequency, but there is no information about the base frequency for now. On the other hand, if the information is correct, the Ryzen 9 7900 looks very attractive with pure 12 cores under $500.
Ryzen 7 7700 specs and price
The Ryzen 7 7700 will have 8 cores, 16 threads, 40 MB cache (32 MB L3 + 8 MB L3). The maximum clock speed of the processor is 5.3 GHz. The Ryzen 7 7700 is expected to have a price tag of $329, thus $70 cheaper than the Ryzen 7 7700X. The Ryzen 7 7700 seems to be clocked only 100MHz lower than the Ryzen 7 7700X, given its 65W power budget.
Ryzen 5 7600 specs and price
Finally, we see the Ryzen 5 7600, which will include 6 cores, 12 threads, 38 MB cache (32 MB L3 + 6 MB L2) and will have a maximum clock speed of up to 5.1 GHz. While it is reported that the processor will be available for $ 229, it is seen that it is $ 70 cheaper than the Ryzen 5 7600X. In this model, there is a 200 MHz decrease in maximum frequency compared to the “X” variant.
- Ryzen 9 7900 12 cores – $120 cheaper compared to 7900x
- Ryzen 7 7700 8 cores – $70 cheaper compared to 7700x
- Ryzen 5 7600 6 cores – $70 cheaper compared to 7600x
Overall, these processors seem to offer the best performance per price on the AM5 platform. This internal processor is also expected to be announced at CES 2023. On the other hand, towards the middle of 2023, we will see the release of affordable AM5 socket A620 motherboards.
