Threads, which Meta offers as a rival to X (Twitter), continues to get closer to its rival by getting new features. The platform has so far received features such as chronological flow, web version, and post search. It was also recently revealed that it would gain an innovation called “Topics” that would include current topics.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that two more features are coming to the platform. One is the editing feature, which took years to come to X, and the other is voice posts.
You’ll be able to edit posts in Threads in five minutes without paying anything
According to Zuckerberg’s post, users will now have the opportunity to edit the posts they share on Threads. There will be five minutes to make arrangements. X, formerly known as Twitter, only brought this much-desired feature in 2022, after many years. Moreover, it was not free. It was only available to Premium subscribers. There is no such situation in Threads. All users will be able to use the edit button free of charge.
Another feature coming to Threads is the ability to create and respond to audio posts. Users will now see a microphone sign while sharing. When they press here, they will be able to share voice posts and replies. You can find an example shared by The Verge writer Tom Warren here.
Editing and voice posting features are slowly becoming widely available starting today. We can tell everyone it may take a while to arrive.
