Thanks to this time, the 2021 model Porsche Taycan traveled from one end of America to the other with a charging time of 2 hours, 26 minutes and 48 seconds and broke the world record.
The vehicle traveled 2,834.5 miles from Los Angeles to New York. Wayne Gerdes was in the driver’s seat on this long journey. “Hypermiling” was done while driving. Hypermiling means driving aggressively to maximize a vehicle’s fuel consumption.
In order to break the world record, the vehicle was constantly monitored by camera and tracked via GPS. Before the Taycan, the Kia EV 6 held the record with a charging time of 7 hours 10 minutes and 1 second. According to the statements made, the vehicle reached 82 percent charge from 6 percent charge in 22 minutes on a 350KW charger. This time is about half when we compare it with its competitors.
