The Germany-based company, which is the world’s most valuable luxury car brand, gave information about its plans for the future and new models, as well as data for 2022.
Porsche’s revenues increased by 13.6% to 37.6 billion euros
Porsche CEO Oliver Blume, who also serves as Volkswagen CEO, announced a 13.6% increase in 2022 and announced that the revenue was 37.6 billion euros. This number was 33.1 billion euros in 2021. It was also stated in the statements that Porsche’s operating profit increased by 1.5 billion (27.4%) compared to the previous year and reached 6.8 billion euros, breaking records in vehicle deliveries and net cash flow.
Blume stated that despite the difficult conditions, they achieved one of the best results in the history of Porsche and they were able to present their new products to customers throughout 2022. It was also noted that the company wants to continue this success in 2023 and expects a revenue of around 40-42 billion euros this year. Let’s add that Porsche went public last September.
A brand new electric SUV is coming
Apart from these, information was given about the new models of Porsche. According to the statements, we will see an all-electric Macan in 2024. It is stated that this model, called ‘K1’ for now, is an electric vehicle that will be located in the middle of Cayenne and Macan. The automobile giant adds that the new vehicle will be very strong on the performance side, as well as having automatic driving features.
Wanting to be carbon neutral like other auto giants, Porsche plans to reach its goals by electrifying 80% of its vehicles by 2030.
