Project Recently Released Polygon 2.0
Polygon Labs has reported that it has launched the fastest ZK proofing system in the industry over the past 18 months, launching zkEVM, the only EVM equivalent in the mainnet.
Last week, Polygon 2.0, a vision of unlimited scalability and unified liquidity powered by ZK technology, was released. Polygon 2.0 represents a big step forward for the Polygon ecosystem. A core component of the Polygon 2.0 vision is that every Polygon chain should be a ZK Layer-2. The company recently announced that it has published a proposal to upgrade Polygon PoS to zkEVM Validium, a first-of-its-kind decentralized Zk Layer-2.
This represents an important milestone for the ecosystem as it will enable Polygon PoS to become a core part of the Polygon 2.0 ecosystem. As a zkEVM Validium, Polygon PoS inherits the unique security of Ethereum while maintaining low fees and high scalability.
