According to the statement made in the past hours, Sony’s Bungie acquisition has been completed. Many of us are familiar with Bungie from the popular online game Destiny. After this acquisition, Bungie will continue to develop independently, even though it is a studio under the umbrella of Sony.
The announced fee for the acquisition is $3.6 billion. Bungie is currently working on new content for Destiny 2 and a brand new game. Destiny 2 will continue to be a multi-platform game, and Bungie’s games will not be exclusive to PlayStation in the future.
