PlayStation 5, which was released on November 12, 2020 and only recovered its sales abroad after the supply chain problems due to the coronavirus, got a new game handle today. Sony introduced its new DualSense Edge wireless controller at Gamescom, one of the giant events of the game world.
The most prominent feature of the new controller was the opportunity to customize the experience in the controller with hardware and software. Users will now be able to set which key will have which function on the controller, and determine the limit of dead zones in analogs. Let’s take a closer look at what the new controller has to offer.

Software customizations on DualSense Edge:
The DualSense Edge controller will redefine the functions of the keys via software. Users will also be able to make adjustments to trigger keys and analogs. Dead zone adjustment can be made on trigger keys and analogs, and it will determine how far the trigger keys can move.
In addition, since users can choose different settings in different games, all settings can be saved as a profile. The ‘Fn’ key on the controller can be used for tasks such as accessing controller profiles, adjusting the game volume and accessing the chat page.
So what will be offered in the hardware?
Users with the DualSense Edge controller will have the opportunity to change the titles of the analog keys on the controller. Sony will offer users three different titles. However, the back keys of the controller can be changed in the same way. Of course, all these modification parts will be sold by Sony separately from the controller.
In addition to these new features, the new controller will continue to carry all the features of the standard DualSense controller. Sony has not yet announced when it will launch the new DualSense Edge and what the controller will cost.
