Activision made an unexpected announcement for the free battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. It was announced that the global launch of the game, which was announced to be released in 2023 and whose registration process started in the Play Store, was postponed.
Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is delayed until spring 2024
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile started to be tested in certain countries earlier this year. The global launch was expected to start on November 1 and be accessible all over the world. However, the new news from Activision upset those who were waiting for the free battle royale game.
Activision said in a statement that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be released in the spring of 2024. Again, it should be underlined that no specific launch date has been given.
Speaking on the subject, an Activision spokesperson said, “We have decided to move the worldwide launch of Warzone Mobile to 2024 to continue improving the overall experience and evolving the game.” More than 45 million people have currently registered for the game.
Activision has provided some updates to Warzone Mobile following testing in certain regions. These included graphic optimizations, changes to the menus and the addition of new multiplayer modes. Additionally, with the global launch, Verdansk and Rebirth Island maps in Warzone were added to the game.
The new production will bring Warzone from the computer and console world to mobile devices. It should be noted that those who pre-register before the launch will have in-game items.
