The company now plans to build a new Playboy Mansion in the metaverse.

The company had released a series of rabbit avatars called Rabbitars. 11,953 original digital artworks were offered for sale on OpenSea, an NFT marketplace, and depicted cartoon-like rabbit characters. The company says Rabbitar NFTs also unlock special offers, giveaways, and metaverse experiences.

Playboy CEO Ben Kohn said:

“We have 10 million pieces of content in our archive that we can auction as we move forward with NFTs.”

The CEO also has plans to bring Playboy Mansion back in digital form this time:

“I think we can reach a global audience with the Metaverse, it will be part of our membership plan. And then later on, I can see a world where we also have physical mansions.”

While Playboy is hosting parties in one of the most popular virtual worlds, Decentraland, Playboy has yet to choose a site for his metaverse mansion.
