Rumors and alleged information and render leaks about Google’s Pixel Fold foldable phone, which returns to the snake story, have been around for a while. But we’ve never seen the phone in real life. Now, Reddit user “onetaketeo” claims to have seen and photographed a real Pixel Fold.
Redditor onetaketeo “I’m on the A train in NYC and I saw a Google employee with a Pixel Fold. The phone was beautiful. The outer bezels were very thin. The man was doing his best to hide it. He had a dark blue, black colored phone. “I was surprised that the phone was so thin,” he said.
The subway train was reportedly in motion, and the images he uploaded turned out to be very blurry, as the source of the leak didn’t want the Google employee to see him taking the photo. In only one of the photos, the phone can be seen clearly. Still, it’s possible to see what the external display looks like when used in folded landscape mode.
Of course, it’s also possible that this is all an elaborate joke, so it’s better to be skeptical of the claim for now. However, it should not be forgotten that it is not the first time that a device has been exposed before it is introduced.
Since Google I/O will take place on May 10, 2023, this seems like the best place and time to launch the Pixel Fold. Earlier leaks claimed that the phone would be heavier compared to other foldable phones and could cost $1,799.
