Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro features
In fact, both phones are very similar to last year’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The processor is updated with Tensor G2 on both phones, while Pixel 7 comes with 8GB RAM and Pixel 7 Pro comes with 12GB RAM option. Tensor G2, which does not offer a big increase in performance, shows an increase in energy efficiency because it is produced in the 4nm fabrication process. The devices, which also protect IP68 protection features, have many photo and video innovations on the software side. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have built-in VPN with Google One support for those who care about privacy, but this feature will be active in a later update.
The devices show their biggest differences on the camera and screen side. The Pixel 7 has a 6.3-inch 90Hz FHD+ OLED display, while the Pixel 7 Pro features a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ LTPO OLED display. Pixel 7 Pro can reduce the screen refresh rate up to 10Hz with its LTPO technology screen and provides energy efficiency when necessary. Both devices have under-display fingerprint sensors.
On the camera side, Google continues to use last year’s sensors. While both devices have a 50MP main camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera, the Pixel 7 Pro offers 5X optical zoom with a 48MP telephoto sensor. Both devices offer facial recognition via the front camera, but this feature is software-based unlike Pixel 4. In addition, both devices have 10-bit video recording capability.
