Pinterest, a visual sharing-based social media application working with the clipboard system, has been trying to shift its focus to different areas lately. The company, which brought a TikTok-like vertical video viewing experience to the application with the recently introduced ‘Watch’ tab, has now included the popular video editing application Vochi and its employees.
Announcing the acquisition of video creation and editing application Vochi with a press release, Pinterest; He stated that this move is part of his goal of enabling content creators to produce higher quality videos on Pinterest.

Announcing, “We look forward to working with the Vochi team and developing more innovative creator tools together,” as part of the agreement, the price of which has not been disclosed, Pinterest shared the information that Vochi will remain an independent application for a while.
Belarus-based video editing and creation software Vochi was founded in 2019 by Ilya Lesun, Anna Buglakova, Vasily Kasnitsky and Sergei Malyutin. Joining Pinterest with its team of 40 people, including its employees and founders, the company will contribute to the development of the social media application’s video creation tools.
With this application;

- Images can be decorated with glitch effect.
- Cloning operation can be performed.
- Special neon effect can be added to the images, adding color.
Vochi CEO and co-founder Ilya Lesun said: “The Vochi app gives creators the ability to instantly apply high-quality effects based on computer vision to objects in a video. These technologies are unique in the industry and we are excited to bring them to an even wider audience as part of the Pinterest team. ” said.
According to the shared information, the Vochi application will continue to be listed on the App Store and Google Play Store. Pinterest did not explain how Vochi will present the technologies it uses to content producers on the social media platform. It is estimated that the US-based company will fully integrate Vochi or its tools into the main application for a while.
