The classic Barbie series, whose games, clothes and toys have been made for years, will be shown on the big screen with a magnificent movie in July this year. On the set of the movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, it seems that too much pink paint was used.

The set, which was painted pink in the movie Barbie, in which Greta Gerwig sat in the director’s chair, paid homage to the iconic doll, while at the same time it caused the pink paint to run out due to the excessive use of paint.

Bringing classic fairy tales like “Snow White” and “Little Women” to the big screen, director Gerwig insisted that everything on set be pink. The reason for this was the thought that pink would preserve childishness, and according to Gerwig, preserving childishness was paramount.

However, this caused almost all pink dyes to run out. In the statement, it was stated that there was an international shortage in the fluorescent shade of pink in the Rosco dyes used during the construction of the set.

On the other hand, Gerwig added that he wanted to create an “authentic artifact” feel for the set and even used a hand-painted backdrop of the sky and mountains instead of CGI (Computer-Based Imagery).
