YouTube has extended the testing period for the Picture-in-Picture feature in its iOS app by two more weeks. According to YouTube, YouTube Premium subscribers will now have access to Picture-in-Picture mode as an experimental feature on iOS.

The Picture-in-Picture feature, available to YouTube Premium subscribers, was originally set to be available until January 31st, but the date has been pushed back several times to allow more users to test it.

How to use YouTube iOS Picture-in-Picture feature?

Picture-in-Picture mode is available on iPhones running iOS 14 and later and allows watching videos while using other apps. If YouTube Premium subscribers want to watch a video on the home screen or other apps, simply tap the Picture-in-Picture button.

This mode, which was first made official with a statement shared in the summer of 2021, allows users to watch videos with iPhone devices in a more practical way. A Google spokesperson said that YouTube plans to include all iOS users in the United States in Picture-in-Picture mode, but cannot give any timeframe for its full rollout.
