Software giant Microsoft continues to develop Windows applications. The company recently offered an updated Paint application to Insider users. The new version of the graphic editor stands out with the ability to work with transparent files and layer support.

The background removal function was previously added to Paint. The application has improved even more with the new update. Now users will be able to remove unnecessary backgrounds with a single click and work on complex images without resorting to third-party programs.

He’s much more talented now

Following these touches, Microsoft Paint gained transparency support, including the ability to open and save transparent PNGs, similar to Adobe Photoshop and other professional graphics editors. Additionally, being able to add layers for text, shapes and other visual elements to the workspace was tremendous.

As we mentioned in the introduction, the new Paint application (version 11.2308.18.0) is currently available to Windows Insiders in Canary and Developer Channels. The company will act on the feedback and make these features available for general use.
