NASA shared a new photo of the Sun taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite, which has been observing the Sun since 2010. In the image taken on October 26, the Sun seemed to be smiling with black marks on it.

In fact, the black dots we saw in the image above were structures defined as ‘coronal holes’. These structures are formed by the scattering of the Sun’s magnetic field into space. Solar winds are traveling twice as fast as normal conditions in this region.
