Taiwan-based technology company HTC introduced its future vision for the ‘metaverse’ platform Viverse. It was stated that the platform will host numerous opportunities to interact with other users. HTC is starting to integrate this platform into its smartphones.
HTC is preparing to launch its new smartphone with metaverse features in April. The company, which previously released a special model for the metaverse, called this new initiative Viverse. Based on Viverse, which works integrated with HTC’s virtual reality glasses Vive VR models, it has been reported that HTC’s new phone will carry some metaverse features.
Introduced by HTC CEO Cher Wang, Viverse will be a virtual world at its core. According to Wang’s information, Viverse will work in integration with Vive VR models, HTC’s virtual reality glasses.
Vice President Charles Huang stated that the company has plans to include certain metaverse capabilities in its upcoming smartphone, but did not provide further details on the matter.
