Many of us now have at least one pet. Moreover, we always want the best for them. However, this may not be the case for some animals. Our friends waiting for their owners in pet stores have to stay in a small area and this can affect their psychology.
Last year, the first developments on this issue were experienced and it was brought to the agenda that the display of pets in stores would be banned. After the studies, the expected news finally came.
Pets will no longer be on display in stores from 14 July
In a statement published in the Official Gazette last year, it was stated that the display of pets such as cats and dogs in stores would be prohibited. The expected day has come and it has been announced that the new law will enter into force as of 14 July. Hüseyin Gökçe Meşe, Head of Nature Conservation and Wildlife Department, said that this situation upset him greatly and that animals should not be kept in small areas and announced that the ban would begin to be processed.
Stores that have obtained permission to sell pets will now be able to carry out sales transactions via catalogs on the internet. According to Gökçe Meşe’s statements, the implementation of the new ban will also be controlled by strict controls.
