NASA’s Perseverance probe continues to send interesting photos from the Red Planet. A recent photograph by Perseverance, which is about the size of a car, shows a large stone balancing on the end of a boulder and a cliff resembling a snake with its mouth open.
The footage resembles the entrance door to the serpent temples we see in Indiana Jones movies. Although extremely interesting, these photos have scientific value. The structure of the rocky layers suggests that there was once a river bed here. The Jezero crater that Perseverance is investigating is suspected to have once been a lake, which is considered evidence that there was once water on Mars.
One of the missions of the Perseverance rover is to investigate whether life once existed on Mars. For this, he is constantly collecting samples and storing them for sending back to Earth one day.
