New information continues to come from Intel’s flagship i9-12900KS model with Alder Lake-S architecture. A Reddit user named Seby9123, who reached the test sample of the new processor that will compete with AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, shared the first performance results.
AMD Ryzen 9 surpassed 5950X
According to shared information, the new processor with 16 cores and 24 threads in total, tested on Cinebench R23, has two performance cores with a maximum turbo speed of 5.5 GHz, all eight cores. It can reach 5.2 GHz. On the efficient core side, the new processor, which reaches a maximum speed of 4.0 GHz, needs 25W higher power requirements compared to the main model 12900K.
RTX 3090 Ti started listing with prices up to $4000
Reaching 2162 single-core and 29164 multi-core scores in the tests carried out, the i9-12900KS managed to outperform the main model by 135 points in the single-core test, 494 points over the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, and 1.580 and 2.582 points in multi-core performance, respectively.
