While the fierce competition between AMD and Intel continues in the CPU market, both names are preparing to launch their next generation Zen 4 and Raptor Lake processors soon. As the release date of the new processors approaches, the first performance information of the highly anticipated flagship Ryzen 9 7950X has been leaked.
30 percent faster than Ryzen 5950X
The Ryzen 9 7950X is expected to come with a 5nm process process, 16 cores and 32 threads. According to Pcgameshardware, which brings together the leaked information about the new flagship processor, Ryzen 9 7950X will reach a score between 15,750 and 16,380 in multi-core and 750 to 780 in single-core in CPU-Z tests.
When we compare the mentioned scores with AMD’s current flagship Ryzen 9 5950X, we can say that there will be a significant increase. While the Ryzen 9 5950X scores 658 and 12,366, respectively, the new flagship seems to outperform the single-core by 13.9 to 18.5 percent, and the multi-core by 27.4 to 32.5%.
Intel Raptor Lake processors can offer 350-watt Turbo Mode
On the Intel front, the Ryzen 7950X achieves similar multi-core results with the 13th Gen Intel i9-13900K. When it comes to single core, the Intel Core i9-12900KF is behind the 12th generation compared to the 819 score. While AMD Ryzen 7000 processors are expected to be introduced on August 29, let us remind you that there may be differences between the leaked and final results due to the lack of independent benchmarks.
