The PC market, which came to the end of the rosy days of the pandemic period, went into free fall with the global economic contraction. The market, which fell by 15 percent in the second quarter of the year, will give the same result in the third quarter.

PC market crashes

According to preliminary research, in the third quarter of the year, the PC market fell by 15 percent to 74.2 million sales. While the giants of the industry experienced a great decline, it was seen that Apple surprisingly made record sales.

Industry leader Lenovo recorded a 16 percent decline with 16.88 million product sales. HP, on the other hand, recorded a remarkable decline of 27.8 percent with 12.7 million sales. Dell also fell 21 percent with sales of 11.9 million.

Apple, on the other hand, had a big surprise. Apple, which sold 10 million units, especially with the effect of new Mac devices, grew by 40 percent and reached a market share of 13.5 percent. It is seen that Apple, which had twice the market share difference between Dell and Dell in the same period last year, closed the gap this year. Apple has not yet announced its financial statements, but this record will be reflected in the statements.
