This system, called Face Pay, allows passengers to make payments quickly by simply introducing their faces, thanks to the biometric data scanning devices on the turnstiles, and thus, the work in the subway can proceed faster.

Moscow Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov spoke to the Russian press about the new system; “We are launching Face Pay, that is, the payment system with the face recognition method, at the instruction of Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.”
Stating that they want to use this system in more than 240 metro stations in Moscow and that they expect the system to be used by at least 10-15% of the passengers in the next two or three years, Liksutov said, “Moscow is the first city in the world where this system has been put into use on this scale.” gave his words.
According to the statement made about the system, in order for passengers to use this system, they must first download the application called Metro Moskvi and register with their photos, transportation and bank information. Passengers who register with the application will be able to use the Face Pay system in a few hours.
