It has been announced that Cryptostat, a blockchain-powered satellite, will participate in the Ethereum (ETH) KZG ceremony from space.
Aiming to create a cryptographic foundation for Ethereum scaling, the ETH KZG ceremony has already started receiving contributions from all over the world. ETH KZG, which has received more than 83,000 random contributions from users, will receive a participant from space this time. It was stated that the Cryptostat satellite, which supports Blockchain, will participate in the ETH KZG ceremony from space. Cryptosat, orbiting the Earth, announced its contribution to entropy from space on April 4 at 6 UTC. It was also stated that the Contribution will be distributed from the Crypto2 satellite.
Information About Cryptostat Satellite Transferred
According to the announcement from Cryptosat, the satellite orbits the Earth every 90 minutes following a distant route 550 km above the ground, making it difficult for outside actors to gain access during the NRW contribution. In an interview, Cryptosat co-founder Yan Michalevsky explained that the ceremony needs parties that can produce “cryptographic parameters” that do not leak what is called “toxic waste” or intermediate computational artifacts that are discarded and inaccessible after creation. .
Michalevsky said that if leaked, this “toxic waste” could compromise the “integrity of the cryptographic scheme” on which the next version of ETH is based.
