In today’s issue of the Official Gazette, a remarkable regulation of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization took place. The new regulation that has entered into force brings a new solution to the parking lot problem that plagues millions of citizens. New buildings to be built according to the regulation will not have to offer some facilities for the safe parking of vehicles.
According to the published regulation, the need for parking in new buildings with less than 250 square meters of land will be met by methods such as regional car parks, roadside car parks or pocket car parks. The contractor company will be held responsible for making the necessary determinations while applying for the building permit and paying 25 percent of the parking fee.

The regulation that took place in today’s issue of the Official Gazette and entered into force is as follows;
Building permit applications for new buildings, which will be made in 250 square meters and smaller parcels where the destroyed structures are located within the scope of disaster preparedness, and where it is determined that the parking lot needs are not met, are met on the condition that 25 percent of the parking fee is paid at the time of application. Parking lots for these buildings are planned by the administrations to be met from the regional parking lot. If these buildings are completed before the regional car parks are built and the space allocation is made, the parking requirement is temporarily provided by the administration in the form of a parking arrangement at the closest possible distance from the general car parks, if any, without the distance condition, or by making the necessary horizontal and vertical markings, by methods such as roadside car park, pocket car park, and A building occupancy permit is issued by stating this matter. The procedures and principles regarding the arrangement and operation of the parking to be provided in this way are determined by the administration. The remaining 75 percent of the parking fee is collected from the parcel owners within 30 days after the regional parking lot is covered by the administrations, and a statement is made in the declarations section of the land registry.
