Today’s most popular social media platform, TikTok, continues to expand its throne by showing itself in different areas. The company, which took a firm eye on advanced live broadcasting features in partnership with Streamlabs last year, came to the fore at the beginning of this year with the news that it was preparing to introduce a paid subscription system.
After the silent months, an official sharing was made regarding TikTok’s paid subscription system today. TikTok announced that the paid subscription feature, which will create a new income source for content producers, will be released this week in its sharing on the platform.
What will TikTok’s future paid subscription feature offer?
With the new feature that will come to TikTok, TikTok users will be able to subscribe to the content producers they want to support for a certain monthly fee. With a monthly subscription, users will have many features such as subscriber-only chat, emotes and badges, as on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
But in addition to all these features, unlike other platforms, users will also be able to control the cameras of the content producers during the live broadcast. Likewise, content producers will be able to customize their live broadcast rooms specifically for their subscribers.
What do content producers need to take advantage of the paid subscription feature?
According to the information shared by TikTok, content producers who want to activate the paid subscription feature must be over 18 years old. However, those who want to benefit from this content must have at least 1,000 followers.
The feature will be available on TikTok from May 26. Currently, only content creators accepted by TikTok invitation will be able to benefit from the feature.
