Sony has slowly started to bring PlayStation legends to the big screen with the Uncharted movie, which was released in the past months. There are movie adaptations of several Sony PlayStation games currently in production. One of them is the movie Gran Turismo.
We learned that Stranger Things star David Harbor will take a role in the previous news for the Gran Turismo movie, which was announced 3 months ago. According to the latest news, another star actor has joined the cast of the film.
Orlando Bloom to star in Gran Turismo movie
The young actor Orlando Bloom, known as Legolas from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Will Turner from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, will star alongside David Harbor and Archie Madekwe in the film adaptation of Gran Turismo, according to a recent report.
Directed by Neill Blomkamp and written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylan, the film will tell the story of a teenager going from being an ordinary actor to a professional racer to achieve his dreams.
The vision date for the Gran Turismo movie is August 11, 2023, almost 1 year from now. The movie is currently still in the shooting phase, so no trailer has been released yet.
