Oppo continues to attract attention with the new generation of foldable phone Find N5. Pete Lau, the company’s chief product manager, shared visuals comparing the screen curl of the device with a rival model. Conclusion? While the folding trail on the Oppo Find N5’s screen is almost invisible, the opposite model is noticed.
The shared visuals show that Oppo has made serious progress on this issue. The comparison model is thought to be Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung confirms the comparison of small design changes in the previous series, while Oppo’s new hinge mechanism largely eliminated the curl on the screen.

The Find N5 was previously announced that it was only 4.8 mm thick. The combination of such a thin design with a curved screen underlines Oppo’s engineering success. The screen trail, which is a chronic problem with foldable phones, seems to have been minimized by Oppo’s new hinge technology.
On the other hand, Samsung’s new model Galaxy Z Fold 7 also has allegations that the screen fold almost disappeared. However, since there are no big leaps in the previous models, users should not be expected to expect much.
While the competition in the foldable phone market is increasing, Oppo Find N5 aims to be a strong alternative with its design and technological innovations. How Samsung will respond is a matter of curiosity.
