Opera, in addition to its current browser, has introduced a new Web3 browser, which is in beta on Windows, Mac and Android as part of the “Crypto Browser Project”. The company’s new browser is based on cryptocurrency and aims to provide users with an easier way to browse decentralized apps, games and metadata platforms for a smoother cross-platform experience.
Opera’s Web3 browser also comes with a news and data aggregator called “Crypto Corner”, which includes key information about crypto news, crypto asset prices, as well as crypto events, airdrops, and even podcasts. Like the new version of the company’s Opera browser, it includes a native ad and tracker blocker as well as a VPN for added privacy and security.
Opera’s new browser aims to simplify the blockchain-based web with direct access to decentralized exchanges, Web3-based NFTs, and decentralized gaming applications. Twitter and Telegram are also easily accessible from the browser’s sidebar.
The browser also includes a built-in crypto wallet that will initially support Ethereum in beta. Opera also plans to work on all major networks and naming systems through partnerships with players such as Polygon, Solana, Nervos, Celo, Unstoppable Domains, Handshake ENS.
